Testing Sephora Face Masks

A Post All About Sheet Masks

As many of you know I recently moved from Ireland to France and ever since I first landed in Paris I’ve been utterly enamoured with the influence of the beauty industry over here. It seems as if everywhere you turn there’s a Dior or a Chanel counter to be found, and better yet, there’s a Sephora around almost every corner. Now don’t ask me why we don’t have this beauty-haven of a franchise over in Ireland. It just never came our way for whatever reason, so you can only imagine my delight going in to spend my time scouring the beauty counters for the big brands that are often hard to stumble upon back home.

Of course I went a little crazy when I saw that Sephora had their own line of sheet masks  available so today I thought I would grab a few to try out and share my thoughts on them with you. Now I know I’m probably a little late to the party here, but as I said, these masks just don’t exist over in Ireland so I was really curious to see what they would be like. The three that I tried were; The Avocado One for your face, The Rose One for your lips and of course the Pore Strip for your nose.

The first one I tried out was the Nose Pore Strip. I wanted to see if it would remove the dirt from the skin on the tip of my nose in the same way the ones in all those Instagram and YouTube viral videos do. What I will say about this expectation is not to be too disappointed when not every square inch of the pore strip is covered in blackheads. There’s a reason why the grossest pore strips go viral so count yourself lucky that there’s not that much dirt in your skin. You can see above the residue left on the pore strip I used. Overall using this is a lot of fun. (I think they kinda make you look a bit like a koala!) My skin felt really clean and fresh after removing it and it’s really satisfying looking at the dirt leftover on the sticky side. A word of advice if you’re going to use this though, make sure you stick it down in the correct place in one go because otherwise it won’t work properly when you take it off and stick it back down again.

Next I used the Rose Lip Mask which is a sheet mask for your lips. If you suffer with dry lips, prone to chapping then this is an amazing mask for you. I had a lot of flaking skin before using this and it actually really helped to hydrate and soften my lips as well as the area around my cupid’s bow. My skin felt so soft and gentle after using it. This mask is especially effective too if you’re getting ready for a date and know you’re going to have to kiss someone later. 😘 (But you didn’t hear that from me.) 😂

And the final sheet mask is definitely my favourite of the lot. I just fell in love with how nourished and hydrated my face felt after applying it. It actually felt like my skin had just been bloated with gallons of water. The moisture from this mask is just that intense. Not only that but it also made my skin feel so healthy, young and smooth and left a really healthy glow behind it. So I’ll definitely be using this mask again!

For those of you wondering, the Sephora face masks I used are both paraben and cruelty-free. They work wonders for you skin and are pretty inexpensive too so overall I’m really happy with them! I definitely recommend you guys try them out if you have Sephora where you live, these masks are definitely worth giving a go, especially if you’re skin is feeling a little dry or dull.

And here I am having done my makeup after using each of the masks.

That’s all from me for now. Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

Wonderful reviews (: I used to make my own avocado & honey mask and it worked so well! My boyfriend and I like using the face masks by YesTo, but I’ve seen the selection at Sephora and would have so much fun raiding their masks
