Hey! It’s Mew.
I always love doing tags so I’m excited to answer the questions to this one. Are you ready? Let’s start!
Adorable Plushies and Home Decor
Hey! It’s Mew and I’m back with another feature post! In today’s spotlight is the unique designs of Guadelupe Creations, an independent soft toy, baby doll and homeware designer.
While you may find Gaudi’s one-of-a-kind creations in the bubbly location of KID in Dublin’s Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, (a store that is essentially the most brightly and adorably decorated nursery you could ever imagine), her designs soar far above and beyond the realms of baby and mother-care, creating comfortable and cosy atmospheres with her dreamy soft furnishings. Each of the pieces in her charming design range strikes the perfect balance between homely and cheerful with her colourful depictions of some of fashion’s most memorable icons in plushie-form, as well as with her original crafts such as bunnies, soft dolls and bonnets making for the perfect way to bring life to any household.
As soon as I found out that this brand existed, I just knew I had to write a blogpost about it. Everything is just so cute. Whether you think you’d use these plushies to decorate your own home or living space, or as gifts to your friends and family, there can be no doubt that these adorable little toys, bags and decorations are ideal for all age ranges. Just look at the dolls dressed in vintage-style outfits. Aren’t they just too pretty for words? Plus their bunny ears make them perfect for Easter!
When I met with the designer, she told me that her creations are not only all crafted by hand in her studio in Dublin, they also are made using an array of quality fabrics from natural cottons, textured tweeds as well as embellishments to bring more life to her creations. So not only are the toys, bags and decorations just adorable, the quality is also great too.
Of course the thing I fell the most in love with is the fact that within the range, plushie renditions are available of some of the world’s greatest and most inspiring fashion icons. David Bowie, Iris Apfel and Frida Kahlo dolls are all available. A dreamy addition to any shelf if you ask me! I am obsessed with this Bouncy Bowie Bunny. So cute.
You can find Guadelupe Creations in KID on top of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin or on Instagram and Etsy. They also have a website here but it’s under construction at the minute.
So that’s all from me for now. I’ll be back with more posts and some tags during the week. Thank you guys so much for reading. I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

Hey! It’s Mew!
Welcome back to another monthly favourites post here on our blog. March felt like a long month but it brought with it an array of cool and exciting new things that I just can’t wait to share with you. As always there are three categories; beauty, fashion and entertainment. Are you ready? Let’s start!
Three Simple Ways to Style Your ‘Schnets
Hey! It’s Mew. Recently I have been seriously obsessing over the fishnet trend and with Spring finally here, I know that so many of you have really been loving this style too. It’s edgy and alluring and best of all, it’s the perfect way of embracing all our favourite 90’s trends.
Are you ready to see the looks? Let’s start!
Look One: The Slip Dress
Hey! It’s Mew. Recently I was tagged by one of my favourite travel blogs, cptlyne.com to do the travel tag. Seeing as how I love when other bloggers do tag posts and I’ve never done one before, of course I just had to jump at the opportunity! Are you ready to see some of my favourite places in the world? Let’s go!
Spring is in the Air!
The change in season is a great excuse to experiment with cool new spring styles and to reinvent your image by indulging in some new outfits. I’m not quite sure what it is exactly but there’s just something about the mystique of SS17 that has caused me to do exactly that. In light of the new season and the brighter days to come, this lookbook is simply overflowing with sunny new spring styles that I just know you’re really going to love. Are you ready to check out some outfits with me? Let’s start!
There’s nothing quite so refreshing as the breezy feeling of a simple denim skirt/white blouse combo on a sunny day. For this look I went for a sort of college-chic type of aesthetic by pairing it with a cute leather-look satchel to give the outfit a sweet vintage feel. The best thing about this look though has got to be the fact that the blouse is covered in love heart sweets with cute sayings written all over. If that doesn’t make things that little bit more exciting then I don’t know what does!
No lookbook on love-mew.com would be complete without featuring at least one thrifted outfit. This dress is from a Japanese fashion brand called Liz Lisa, so the style is nostalgic and very doll-like. Patchwork is a huge trend this season and this dress gives the trend a type of girlish charm that’s both timeless and elegant. To compliment the youthful vibe of the outfit, I of course had to add some florals. (for spring? Groundbreaking I know!) My floral bag is a Louis Vuitton while his beautiful lace maxi that I have draped over me is a vintage steal à la Dublin’s one and only Om Diva Boutique. (Check out my post on their vintage basement here.)
If there’s one rule for Spring it’s to never be afraid of a pair of oversized statement sunnies and a bold pattern to guide you along your happy fashion travels. For this outfit I wanted to go for a look that was romantic, chic yet laid back and edgy. And let’s be honest here, there really is no better way of doing that other than opting for the classic a-line dress/leather jacket combo. I think that this mini backpack really brings the colour in the outfit to life. As for the leather jacket, there can be no denying the fact that it gives any outfit a certain type of bad-girl attitude that is simply unrivalled by any other wardrobe staple in the face of existence. If it’s the aesthetic asf type of look you’re after then you simply can’t go wrong with a leather jacket to nail any style.
This final outfit is something a little more on trend and probably my favourite of all in the lookbook. Pastels are always so much fun for spring because they add so much brightness to any outfit. This season we’re saying goodbye to our dreary black winter coats and swapping them out for more colourful outerwear. With the onset of brighter days and longer evenings well underway, this dusty pink suede jacket from Zara is a must-have piece for a look that is fun, fresh and feminine. Gingham has dominated the fashion scene lately so for this look I decided to shamelessly join the trend brigade and style this bow-knot tank with a pair of distressed denims. Of course I had to style this outfit with the same red backpack that I carry everywhere with me because life is no fun unless you clash colours and commit the formidable faux-pas of pairing red with pink. So rebellious I know.
So these were all of the looks I have been obsessing over this spring. As usual, links to everything are embedded in the text above.
What are your favourite trends this season? I always love to hear from you in the comments below!
Thank you guys so much for reading and I’ll see you very soon in my next post.

Out of the Dark…
Hey! It’s Mew and I’m back with a beauty review!
Deep cleansing, softening and nourishing, these three words pretty much sum up what the Lush Dark Angels cleanser has to offer. Powdered charcoal helps to remove dirt and toxins clogged deep beneath the skin’s surface, gently exfoliate (with the help of some black sugar) while simultaneously removing excess oils and sebum.
The idea of this cleanser was just so exciting to me -creating brighter, younger, livelier skin from something dark. Obviously then when I spotted this at lush, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Nevertheless, charcoal is known to be a well proven effective ingredient when it comes to drawing out bacteria, poisons, chemicals and other damaging microparticles from the skin. -So it fundamentally is a magnet that removes all of the really deep-set crap from your pores. And the best part is that while the charcoal cleanses from the inside out, nourishing avocado oil in the mask helps to restore life, radiance and softness to dull skin.

Hey! It’s Mew.
Today’s post is something a little more personal than usual because I’ll be sharing some of my old artwork with you. Are you ready? Let’s start!
It’s time for another haul!
In the early days of my budding personal style, accessories were something that I always completely overlooked. Style used to be exclusively about the clothes for me and to be honest, it’s only recently that I have begun to appreciate the serious difference that some decent jewellery can make to your entire look and to your attitude. Be it the bad-girl vibe that goes hand in hand with boasting your favourite velvet choker to the world, or the stark levels of unrivalled drama a pair of oversized statement earrings can add to your makeup look, the transformative power of accessories is just amazing. Not only is jewellery a serious game-changer for upping the anti on your day-to-day fashion exploits, it’s also a miracle worker for making an otherwise plain outfit look like something completely different and new.
But when it comes to accessorising, the quickest and easiest way to go about it is always to turn towards your trusty handbag. No matter how tired, lazy and soooo not bothered you may be feeling on a particular day, your neat little handbag friend will never let you down when it comes to making you look presentable while all at the same time keeping you well equipped with it’s necessary contents needed to tackle all of the day’s obstacles.
With all of this in mind, going shopping in Accessorize was an obvious choice. Here are some of the things I got on my latest shopping spree. Are you ready? Let’s start!
Sweet and Breezy, Comfortable and Girly Outfits
Hey! It’s Mew. Today I’m back on the blog with a sweet and springy lookbook and haul for you guys.
You may think it’s kind of odd that only recently I have discovered the amazingness that is Forever 21. Believe it or not, it’s nowhere near as popular in Ireland as it is in other countries like the USA, so when I went on their website, I was really curious to check them out. And of course, they had such amazing things, I couldn’t wait for my package to arrive! Are you ready to see what I got? Let’s start!
